Welcome to Audible: Football Fan Magazine for Women!
Audible is written for the fan by the fan. It is an educational, fun, positive magazine about the National Football League (NFL). It is for the passionate die-hard fan that lives and breaths football, it is for the novice, those just discovering this wonderful game called football who want to learn more, and it’s for all those in-between.
It’s a safe haven for women to learn about the game, share their stories, and have fun!
The goal of Audible is to be your magazine. We want to hear from you, the fan.
Why Audible? Calling an audible in the game of football is when after the quarterback has called a play in the huddle, he goes to the line, checks out the defense, and changes the play.
Now, we’re not changing the game of football. Audible is calling the plays for the fans.
CINDI DAMMANN, EDITOR
Cindi’s love for football started in the 6th grade. She started watching with her dad on Sunday afternoon and, having no brothers, learned about the game by watching. In high school she attended every home and away game all four years. Though she follows college football, the National Football League (NFL) is her true love. She is quite passionate about her hometown team but watches any NFL game on television. She’s also a season ticket holder and travels to the away games to cheer on her team.
Cindi holds a bachelors degree in Psychology, as well as masters degrees in Human Development and Family Studies and Journalism and Mass Communication. She also took several courses in Sports Administration.
In 2007, she published her first book, Tailgating Tales: Diary of a Female Football Fan. Determined to put her passion for football and enjoyment in writing to good use, she teamed up with one of her best friends, who is a graphic designer, to create Audible: Football Fan Magazine for Women.
Along with her passion for football, she is an animal lover and has a goal one day to open a cageless shelter for unwanted, abused, and neglected animals.
Cindi lives in a suburb of Chicago with her beloved cat, Malachi.
